At Playworks our mission is to improve the health and well-being of children by increasing opportunities for physical activity and safe, meaningful play. But honestly, I feel that the power of play and the work that we do has the ability to improve the entire climate of the schools and communities in which serve. As one of my 4th graders, Josh from our Junior Coach Leadership Program explained "I love being a Junior Coach because I get to help out and teach new games. I get to help others be happy and it makes me feel proud". Unfortunately, safe, meaningful play is not as accessible to all as it should be. In fundraising for the Playworks PA 5K your contribution will help in fueling the delivery of the power of play to the communities in which we serve and expand our reach even further. If you have the means to donate it would really mean a lot to me personally, it's not the amount that counts but the gesture is what really touches me!
